Rebecca Jo Loeb

Rebecca Jo Loeb was born in Switzerland and studied musicology and art history at the University of Bern before he began his studies with Markus Brück at the Universität der Künste Berlin, where he received his Masters in Opera in February 2017.

At the UdK, he sang the role of the Maurer in Aribert Reimann's Melusine as well as Marcello in Puccini's La Bohème in productions by Frank Hilbrich.

  Bichsel gave his professional debut at the Teatro Perez Caldos in Gran Canaria as Martino in Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro,and his debut at the Zurich Festival as Nardo in Mozart's La finta giardiniera met with great success in the press.

Bichsel is also active as a concert singer. He combines an intensive artistic collaboration with the renowned Pianist Eric Schneider. In Fall 2018 he will join the University of Zürich in a Executive Master in Arts Management. He joined the Berlin Opera Academy in 2017.

  Rebecca Jo Loeb was a scholarship holder of the Richard-Wagner- Verband Berlin in 2014.
