Audition Repertoire Requirements

Piano Accompaniment is not required


French Horn:

  • First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto (e.g. Mozart, R. Strauss, Glière).
  • Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of the applicant’s choice.

Trumpet:

  • First movement exposition from a standard repertoire concerto (e.g. Hummel, Haydn).
  • Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of the applicant’s choice.

Trombone:

  • First movement exposition from any standard repertoire composition (e.g. David concertino, Grøndahl Concerto, Sulek Sonata, Saint-Saens Cavatine).
  • Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of the applicant’s choice.

Tuba:

  • First movement exposition from any standard repertoire composition (e.g. Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto, Hindemith Tuba Sonata, Bordogni Etudes).
  • Three standard, contrasting orchestral excerpts of the applicant’s choice.
